ORBIT – Performance: Orgelpark – November 21 – 2012 – 8AM
A project on composing moving images & music in loops and orbits.
The workshop will start with an introduction by Johan Luijmes, the curator and programmer of the Orgelpark followed by an excursion to the place itself in Amsterdam.
The Orgelpark is a beautiful and exciting stage for contemporary music. In the past few years since it started, the Orgelpark has already hosted many young composers and instrumentalists. The Orgelpark is not purely a stage but also a commissionaire for new compositions and cross border projects. From this point of view, the teachers José Vonk , Hans Muller and Mariken Overdijk were asked to lead a project where our VAV students can work out and perform their plans in a real theatrical environment.
